Early Learning Programs

Our Play Based Early Childhood Learning program aims to develop a solid foundation of skills in your children, as well as foster their social and emotional development, ensuring they are prepared for formal schooling in the years to follow.  Through our programme we offer a balance of stimulating play-based investigations as well as structured learning experiences.

Our experienced Kindergarten teachers provide a high-quality program, which embraces individual differences and caters for individual needs. We strive to develop the ‘whole’ child and deliver a program that supports the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative aspects of child development.

It is our aim to guide your child to develop a positive self-identity by providing both a high-quality education programs and a caring, welcoming environment where every child has a true sense of belonging. Through our program children are guided and encouraged to develop increasing levels of independence and to discover themselves as unique individuals.

Teachers plan their programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (Kindergarten only) and the Western Australian Curriculum. The National Quality Standards (NQS) are also addressed within the provided programs.

Staff use exciting play based and hands on strategies to focus on explicit teaching (what needs to be taught) and intentional teaching (activities with focused intention) and interests of the children as part of the planning process.

At Bridgetown Primary School we ensure our school is a place where your child can:

BE – the unique individual they are.

BELONG – to a friendship group and the broader community.

BECOME – a lifelong learner with a passion for knowledge.

We invite and encourage families to visit our school and see the great experiences offered daily to our students.
