National Tree Planting Day

Bridgetown Primary School Year 5/6 students joined forces with the Blackwood Environment Society (BES) to plant native grasses on the school site and near the Bridgetown Town Library wetlands site too.

Kylie Garde, (BES Landcare Nursery Manager) supplied over 600 native grasses for students to make a difference to our environment. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with nature and learn first hand about the importance of planting native plants in Bridgetown.

Students thoroughly enjoyed planting out the native grasses.
